Radiophrenia Glasgow 2019

Glasgow, Scotland

Visiting Grandpa, a multi-channel soundscape based on my memories of my grandfather, will be broadcast live on Radiophrenia from Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts. Radiophrenia is a temporary art radio station in Glasgow, Scotland – a two-week exploration into current trends in sound and transmission arts.

Visiting Grandpa was written when I learned that the Iranian revolutionary guard demolished the historic cemetery of Baha'is in Shiraz (Iran), where my grandfather's remain, as well as many other Baha'is', were buried.

Up to four compositions will be selected by a jury panel of professional composers and performers.
