From Baku to Belmont is a 50-minute documentary by an Iranian filmmaker, Rashin Fahandej. It will be screened at Massart Film Society along with some of her other works on October 28th at 8:00 pm. I had a pleasure to work with her on this documentary as a composer and sound designer.

My recent sound scape, Visiting Grandpa, for 5 speakers will be featured at the Electroacoustic Music Concert as part of the 2016 New Music Festival.
My recent composition, Its Around 130, for marimba and fixed media will be world premiered by Toronto-based percussionist Evan Bowen as part of first concert by Caution Tape Sound Collective.
The concert will present both the exciting world premiere of three new compositions (including my composition Bamdad), conducted by guest conductor Shalom Bard (Toronto Symphony Orchestra Resident Conductor 2012-2014) and a collaborative performance with renowned guest artist from Montreal, Saeed Kamjoo, Iranian Kamanche virtuoso. Supporting the evening's debut are the Toronto Arts Council, co-sponsors the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Toronto and partners the North York Arts and Koffler Center of the Arts.

My recent composition for flute and fixed media, Fly Toward a Secret Sky, will be perfromed by the wonderful flutist, Tristan Durie.

Postlude to Bamdad is inspired by Khoshe Chin in Avaze Esfahan composed by Rohollah Khaleghi and poem by Karim Fakor.
I originally wrote it for Bb clarinet, violin and and vibraphone and later arranged it for violin and cello as well.
