Be whisked away by classical pieces from renowned Iranian and Canadian composers in this spirited chamber concert from the quartet Charsu. This performance, created exclusively for the Museum, premieres lesser-known pieces for voice, clarinet, cello, and piano from such composers as Ranjbaran, Vali, Sabet, and Pidgorna.
Charsu is a collaboration between Jonathan Russel Mac Arthur (tenor), Dobrochna Zubek (cello), Asal Iranmehr (piano), and Anoush Taba’i (clarinet). Together, they’re dedicated to showcasing the classical music of their rich cultural heritages.
This performance is part of our 2019/20 Performing Arts season, Listening to Each Other, which pays tribute to the role of the performative arts in connecting communities, preserving culture, and spurring social change.
